Forgive me but this a long review.  "Nice guy, does good work" doesn't really help much if you are looking for a contractor.  It's the details that matter.  We had to find a new contractor after our previous one blew town half way through the job to return to his home state.  Couldn't have picked a worse time to look for a contractor.  Mid 2021 when everyone was booked up for months.    When I called the office Erin (office manager) promptly arranged a time for Nick, the owner, to come out and look at the job.  He showed up and quickly developed an estimate for me.  Super nice, personable guy, easy to get along with.  We did have to wait a while for him to start.  He was booked up way ahead, a testament to the quality of the work I suspect.  When they did start, his crews were efficient, pleasant, respectful of the property and did high quality work.  The job is finished now and we couldn't be more pleased.  Reward for our patience.  Erin is excellent at keeping the clients informed of who is arriving when, so that you aren't left wondering. Nick and crew at NorthStar recently installed new double exterior front doors at my home.  The doors were larger than the opening because of the age of the house so they had some extra prep work to do.  Also installed board & baton and new porch light fixtures where there were none. Nick and the entire team at Northstar were absolutely excellent in our kitchen remodel. He worked with us closely and patiently as we selected the proper materials for our kitchen.  The work started on time and the communication was excellent throughout.

Nick was great to work with while remodeling our kitchen.  He had several good ideas that we had not considered when trying to configure the layout of our kitchen. Erin, his office manager, and Nick always kept me updated on what time they would arrive and what they were going to do that day. The guys that work for him are hard working and honest. We had sagging floors in our kitchen and after a inspection the problem was a lot worse than we thought. Nick and his crew were amazing . Conscientious and professional, courteous, friendly. Just an amazing work ethic. We were always kept up to date on the progress and the timeframe. They were fast and efficient. Despite delays, shortages and challenges, Nick got the job done with enthusiasm, professionalism, and flexibility.  He brought our vision to life within our budget, showed up on time with a positive attitude, responded to questions and requests promptly, and did a FANTASTIC job!
